Kites and Sailboats

Yesterday Paul and I went for a nice Sunday afternoon stroll. It was the perfect weather outdoors: upper 70's, cool, windy and lots of sunshine. We took Bunni with us and she really enjoyed the walk. There was a kite-flying contest and toy sailboat race going on while we were there at the park. Here are some pictures that we took:

Another Dress for Bunni

We found this dress for Bunni and it was too cute to pass up! The best part is that it was only two dollars at Petsmart! Bunni was very pleased with this purchase as you can see in the picture. She is smiling pretty big. :) The crazy thing about this dog is that she knows she's cute.

Bunni's New Dress

Paul got our Maltipoo a Cheerleader Dress for football season! As you can see, this is his favorite college football team...Alabama...ROLL TIDE ROLL! :) The game was going on in the background on the t.v. screen, it's kinda blurry.

Happy First Day of Autumn!

I love fall! It's my favorite season! Here are my top ten reasons why I love it so much:

10. I love the smell of Pumpkin Pies baking in an oven and pumpkin spice and cinnamon scented candles.
9. Fall foliage...since we live so near the Blue Ridge Mountains, I especially love seeing all the bright colored leaves!
8. Chilly weather and drinking Apple Cider and Hot Chocolate!
7. Thanksgiving.
6. My Granny Jones' birthday was November 3rd, my Grandpa M.L.'s birthday is November 24th, my birthday is November 29th! (all these are special fall birthdays)
5. Our Pecan Tree becomes ripe with delicious pecans in the fall! (we have to beat squirrels to gathering them)
4. Decorating with scarecrows, hay bales, chrysanthemums, gourds and pumpkins...also with creative wreaths. (Check out my younger sister's blog BlessourNest...she made the cutest wreath ever...all for under ten dollars!!!)
3. The Prater's Mill Fall Festival in northern Georgia!
2. Alabama Football....ROLL TIDE!!! (My husband's favorite team ever...and he has influenced me greatly! I never knew anything about football until I met Paul. Now my favorite team is Alabama, too!)
1. Paul and my anniversary is October 11th!

This Time Two Years Ago

I can't believe that I have known my sweet husband for almost two years now!!!! This picture was taken back in September of 2007. I was surprised one day at work with these precious roses. I remember all the children ran up wanting to smell them. :)
I thank God that He allowed Paul and me to meet. I know this was part of His wonderful plan for our lives. God has blessed me beyond what I ever imagined and I thank Him so much for sending me such a precious husband who is such a Spiritual leader and who loves me unconditionally...who is so loving, kind, merciful, protective, supportive, caring, and always has a listening ear. He is truly my soul-mate and best friend.
