Hilarious Picture

I'll have to do a post about Paul's and my trip to Harper's Ferry, West Virginia...but before I do, I have to share this picture with y'all. When we were in Harper's Ferry there was a group of reenacting Civil War Union Soldiers. I asked if they would pose with Bunni and they were thrilled to death! Bunni loved it and you can tell by her expression. Ha!

Tuesday's Bible Verse and Quote

"Do not be afraid to be different from other people. The path God has called you to travel is exquisitely right for you...to follow God wholeheartedly, you must relinquish your desire to please other people." -Sarah Young

Psalm 118:6-11
"The Lord is for me, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me? Yes, the Lord is for me; he will help me. I will look in triumph at those who hate me. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in people. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes. Though hostile nations surround me, I destroyed them all with the authority of the Lord."

Summer 2010

Here are some pictures of the time we spent in West Virginia. I'll go ahead and let the pictures tell about our trip:

On the way to Paul's parents' house.
We saw a doe and her baby

This church is up the road from Paul's parents' home
View from the road

This state park is also down the road.

Pretty state park.

Paul and Bunni infront of the lake.

Beautiful!

Yes, indeed...this was beautiful!

We took Bunni on this trail at the park....she enjoyed the walk.

I love the golden hour of the day...

There was a Mama duck and her two chicks....

This was before they got into the water....

Poppy's gigantic garden! The vegetables were amazing...I loved the onions and tomotoes and cucumbers the best!!!

Paul and I took this picture from the car on our way to the state park...it threw Poppy off, he didn't know what we were doing. Alex was helping his grandpa water the garden.

Bunni after she got her haircut.

Downtown Huntington's Pet Palace where Bunni got groomed.

Our brother-in-law, Danny, and precious neice, Marissa. I think they look so much alike!

Paul was digging around in the old root cellar from the early 1700s!

This is where Paul grew up! WOW!

This is Paul's parents' backyard. We took a ride in the mule. Yeah...I thought a "mule" was a horse, too. I found out that it's a little car that you can take up on trails or just to go through tall brush, etc.

Marissa and me in the mule...ha!

Paul drove Marissa and me around! :)

Another picture in the backyard. Somewhere up there is the old 1700s wagon trail still on Poppy's land!

Pretty river.

Alex's Visit

Our pictures are all out of whack. July has been a very busy month for us. The last two days of June, our nephew Alex came to visit us. My sister-in-law drove Alex down from West Virginia and he had been staying with her and his cousins for the last week in Memphis...then my SIL and nephews came over to see Paul and me and we all went to the Star Wars Exhibit at NASA here in Huntsville. Right now the Star Wars pictures are on the backup drive and I can't figure out how to download them. So, I'll make a post about that experience some other day. It was awesome nonetheless!

So for two and a half days Alex got to have undivided time with his uncle and aunt before we had to drive him back to West Virginia! I took him to the Indian Creek Greenway and we caught clams and took Bunni to a dog park with obstacle courses and water fountains for your canine! Paul and I also took Alex downtown to Baskin-Robbins to get a baseball helmet Sunday and then to see the city park. We live in a beautiful place...Huntsville really is a nice city! Here are some pictures:

Alex and Paul in downtown Huntsville.

Alex and me. (I got my shirt for 1 dollar at Wal-Mart! ha! Comfy but I am not fond of the peace sign...it really is an upside down cross!!! Yikes! So this is my "outdoors" shirt!)

Beautiful Huntsville...

Alex tried to catch this duck! LOL!

This picture is so pretty that Paul took. Notice the big steeple in the background...that is First Baptist Church where Paul and I go. :)

Project 52: Week 10

I haven't done this project 52 in a long time! So here is a picture taken last week. I have many pictures to share of the trip my husband and I took to Harper's Ferry, West Virginia and of our week with my in-laws. However, I am worn out and I just don't have the energy to "type" or even down load pictures. This Project 52 is about all I can do for this evening. I hope everyone is having a blessed summer and enjoying the lovely month of July! :)
