Bunni's Bald Spot

It's 1:00 am and there's a reason why I am up this late. I have a sleep deprivation test while I am in the hospital this week and the doctor is trying to catch me having a seizure. Praise Jesus they have already found abnormal brain waves...they are going to get to the bottom of this. I have been having seizures for almost 7 years now and I am so glad the doctor here is going to help me!
Now to the topic of this blog. My precious Maltipoo has a HUGE bald spot on her right side. :( DO you know why? Well, I took her to the vet and he informed me that it was due to her rabies shot she got back in January. She has had a terrible allergic reaction to it. It started off as a simple lump then it progressed to her shedding her hair in one spot...now she's bald! If you have a little toy breed dog, be sure to tell your vet! THis new rabies vaccination can cause this in small dogs...15% get the bald spot and another 15% die!!! Sorry if this post is a little jumbled. I am SOOO tired and typing is helping me stay awake. I have until 2:30 to stay awake. All I want to do is fall asleep right now.

Meeting in the Middle (Mississippi) for Poppy's Birthday

Paul's parent's came in to see us from West Virginia this past week! They helped us SO much with a project we've been trying to tackle...making over our front porch. Paul and I are so grateful for all they've done for us!!! On Friday the 15th was Poppy's (this is what the grandkids call him and I do as well) birthday. Paul, Paul's parents and I drove over from Alabama and Paul's sister and our handsome nephews from Tennessee all met in Mississippi to celebrate. We ate at this wonderful steak house and afterwards we went to McDonalds so we could visit and talk and drink coffee.

A Baby, Blooming Azeleas, a Skinned Dog, and a Racoon

Here are some things that have happened in the month of April around here:
1.) My sister had a baby boy...my sweet Nephew Neil Benjamin.

2.) Paul and my beautiful Azeleas have come to a full bloom and we are planting more.

3.) Paul and I took our precious Maltipoo, Bunni, to Petsmart and they completely skinned her! She used to resemble the gorgeous Maltese (with the Poodle intellect)...now she looks like a skinned rat.
4.) Today Paul finally got a picture of the racoon that lives in our backyard! Bunni was barking by the backdoor and we didn't know why...until we saw the racoon! :)

Spring 2009

Paul and I went to Macon, GA last weekend to visit my Grandpa Bill and see the Cherry Blossom Festival. My mom met us there (she drove from Dalton). The trees were gorgeous and I couldn't get over how many Antebellum homes there were in that city.

Valentine's Day Weekend

I am still "new" at this blogging and find it hard to post blogs and pictures...but I am trying to learn. If it wasn't for me talking with my sweet friend, Rebecca, today I don't think I would have gotten on here and updated my blog. She told me to check out her blog today because she just posted something new on Valentine's Day. I also love keeping up to date with my sister, Anna's blog. I can't wait to meet my new little nephew!!!
Ok. So here is some pictures of Paul and me on Valentine's Day. :) Paul made me a delicious dinner...a steak (we halved it because it was so big), green beans, an amazing baked potato with bacon bits and cheese, and a mouth-watering salad! :)
You know what though? I think Valentine's Day has gone over board with all this lovey-dovey mushy mentallity. I think "Valentine's Day" should be Christ-centered and with showing everyone (not just that lovebird) agape love. Everyday should be a "love-showing" day.

Autumn Leaves

I am slowly but surely trying to figure out this "blogging." I'll be honest...I didn't make my page...it was with the help of my sister. :) I also want to thank my sweet friend Rebecca for helping me try this out...she just got a blog and I have enjoyed reading her posts. I've also enjoyed reading my sisters' and mom's blog, too.

The leaves are changing here in Alabama! I can't get over the magnificent colors!!! Here's some pictures Paul and I have taken.
