Memorial Day Weekend and Bryce's Graduation

This past weekend, Paul and I made a surprise visit to see our second oldest nephew, Bryce, graduate from high school. Lord willing, we hope to make it to all of our nephews' and niece's graduations. Bryce was so happy we came and we definitely surprised him...he had the biggest grin on his face when he saw us there! After the ceremony, Paul's mom and sister had a graduation party for Bryce. Paul's mom made pulled pork barbecue and his sister got the cutest graduation decorations and we all played Corn Hole which is a very fun game (it's very common in the northeast/Appalachian region.) Anna and Neil's Visit

My sister and nephew came to visit my mom in Georgia last week. I drove over to see them, too, since it's about a two and a half hour drive from where I live. Paul couldn't come with me because he had to work. He wishes he could have though, but thank goodness I took lots of pictures so he could see how big Neil got. It was a nice visit. Neil got to play with his Granni, Aunt Rebecca and me. It was so much fun and I just couldn't get over how fast Neil walks! The day we had to drive them back to the Atlanta airport, we got to have a short visit with my Grandpa and Beatrice. Enjoy the many pictures of my precious nephew:

Rabbits in the Backyard

We have a little family of rabbits in our backyard. I've seen up to three of them during all hours of the day. These little furry friends are so adorable and Paul and I enjoy watching them eat clover, wood violets and grass all over our yard. When we let our dog, Bunni (haha!), out to run she can sniff around and find their rabbit trail. Bunni is a hunter by instinct since she has some poodle in her...so this worries me, however, those rabbits are so much bigger than Bunni so more than likely, Bunni would be the one getting hurt if she ever encountered one. Paul said that rabbits can kick very hard if they are startled with fear. Here are some pictures that I took:

Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful Mother's out there! I especially want to wish my Mom, Mother-in-law, sister Anna and cousin Catherine a very special Mother's Day today!!!
I am enclosing a picture of my mom with us girls when we were little in remembering Mother's Day. I've looked all over the house for a picture of Paul and his sisters with their mom when he was little. Unfortunately, we don't have any here with us.
