Feeding the Birds
It's been so cold and icy that the snow is still here but slowly melting. We have a lot of little birds here in our yard and Paul and I noticed they seem miserably cold. I chopped up an apple and put it in a bowl in the backyard. I also sprinkled some walnuts and pine nuts around for the squirrels and birds. I finally captured a picture of a sweet little Mockingbird eating some apple pieces the other day:

Roll Tide Roll!!!
Paul and I are so proud of Alabama! We watched the BCS National Championship game which took place at the Rose Bowl last night. Boy, that was one intense game! Paul and I both were nervous wrecks. The second half of the game, Texas' fill -in quarterback was taking a lead in the game and it looked like the Long Horns were going to pull it off and win. Oh no...we were doomed. But we ended up winning towards the end! It was Trent Richardson who ran the field with the ball and got us a touchdown!!! It was a close game, but Alabama won! ROLL TIDE!!!!!!!
Here are some pictures to follow:
Here is our youngest nephew, Neil, with his very first Alabama shirt! Paul and I both hope he'll be a fan one day! :)
Paul and I took our second oldest nephew, Bryce, to the Alabama vs. Tennessee game this past October. We unfortunately had seats in the Tennessee section...there were just a few fellow Bama fans with us. We were surrounded by Orange...eeek! The game was so intense and everyone thought TN was going to win...until Terrance Cody blocked the field goal and Alabama took over the game and won!!!! To celebrate the big win, Paul and I took Bryce to Zaxby's. The picture below is of Bryce enjoying his wings and his smile says it all. We are so proud of our team!!!! ROLL TIDE!!!!

Recap of Christmas 2009
Paul and I had a great time being with my sisters, mom, brother-in-law, Grandpa and Beatrice and Neil over Christmas! The time went by too quickly! It was wonderful being able to play with precious Neil and watch him open gifts on Christmas morning. He is a bundle of pure joy! These pictures will tell of the special time we shared with family:
I just LOVE my little nephew, Neil Benjamin!!!!
Paul finally got to meet Neil for the very first time!

My sisters, me and Neil
Yee-Haw little cowboy!!!
As you probably already know, my husband is a HUGE Alabama fan (and I have become one as well...Paul got me hooked) so we were excited to give this shirt to Neil. We hope he enjoys watching Alabama play one day.
Neil loved laughing with his Granny. I think they have the same facial expression here. :)
A very happy boy on his very first Christmas!
Grandpa and Beatrice giving Neil some lovin'
My poor hubby took a terrible fall down my mom's stairs on Christmas Eve...I rushed him to the ER and they gave him x-rays and a CT Scan of his head and back. Thank God he was completely fine with no broken bones or head/back injury. This picture of him on Christmas morning kinda summed up how he felt...pretty bad. He LOVED this gift from my mom! :)
