Texas Sunset

This past Tuesday, Paul and I made a spur of the moment trip to Texas to see my family and friends. It had been almost three years since I moved from Texas and I was beginning to miss my home state very much. I felt deep down in my heart that I needed to especially go see my 95 year old Grandpa M.L. Bishop. He previously had heart surgery and I just had to see him! I also got to see my dad, Aunt Lynette, my cousin Catherine and her new baby Grant, Aunt Lynn and Uncle Aubria, Uncle Tim, and my friends Rebecca and Claire. It was such a jam packed trip and we wanted to see so many people and see the Hill Country with the Bluebonnets...we spent the majority of the time with Grandpa and we made an amazing video of him telling his priceless stories and he shared so many Bible verses, scriptures and so much wisdom with us. I feel so sad because we literally rushed through the Hill Country (we had to to get home by a certain time to turn in the rental car) and I wanted to see my cousins and great aunt in the Austin area but we just didn't have the time. I also wanted to see my sweet friend, Tiffani, in Dallas and meet my sister, Anna, and nephew, Neil, at some point during the trip home, but time just slipped by too fast. It was almost midnight before we got to the Dallas/Fort Worth area and we arrived in Arkedelphia around 2 in the morning before crashing at a motel. Paul was so precious to take off work and do this for me!!! I just love my husband so much!!!! He is so good to me. Anyway, I have TONS of pictures to share of this fast trip we took....unfortunately I am exhausted and I just don't have the energy to download them. There are so many pictures that I will have to make about 10 different posts and break it up. Here are 3 pictures that Paul took of a sunset we saw right outside of Waco. Paul had pulled the car over for me to take some pictures of Indian Paintbrushes and Bluebonnets and this sunset was in the background!!! My soul just longed for Texas Sunsets like these!!!!! I am so blessed that I got to see this!!!! Enjoy these pictures....Praise Jesus for painting this sky for us!!!!!
