Our New Neighbor

Paul and I have always had rabbits in our backyard. They come out in the Spring to feast on our Wood Violets and clover. Last week we noticed a big red fox in our backyard. I think he has officially moved in and has made his new home under our shed. I think the rabbits are okay...at least I hope so. Paul said he spotted a baby rabbit next door. I believe this fox has escaped woods being mowed down not too far from us. My mom and I spotted two precious little foxes on the road last time she was here...dead foxes I might add. So, I don't want this new fox who has showed up in our yard to leave and get hit by a car, too. Paul and I are going to start feeding it cheap dog food and give it water. Hopefully, it'll stay away from the rabbits and Bunni our Maltipoo!!! I read that foxes are extremely shy creatures and are terribly afraid of dogs and loud barking...and believe me, Bunni has a LOUD bark. So, I am hoping we can have a pet fox before too long. I've always wanted to have an animal sanctuary...looks like Paul and I have one already.

Foxes have always been attracted to you, Liz! They must know how much you love God's creatures! I'm praying all of this keeps the little fox safe ....and maybe ya'll can live in the country some day and have a huge sanctuary! I can see you two doing just that:)
Love you,
